**About**

The word “elite” invites an impressed response. My inclination is to ask what earned the label.

## Purpose

Elite Hair Restoration is an editorial title for a research site, with no hair-restoration business behind it. No consultations, appointments, preparations or treatment services are available here. The subject here is published research, and nothing on this site can provide medical advice about anyone’s hair or health.

The name sets a high bar. The findings that might earn a place beneath it interest me most when the actual experiment is stranger or narrower than its reputation. A fine-sounding mechanism can be interesting. A measurable hair outcome earns closer scrutiny. Neither gets a free pass from an impressive name.

## The AHK-Cu surprise

The [AHK-Cu follicle experiment](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17703734/) is a good example of why this subject rewards attention. Its human tissue and hair-elongation result drew me in; its molecule name corrected my premature assumption about GHK-Cu. I came away more interested in the experiment and less willing to wave the copper peptides together as a group.

The [human combination trial](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4969472/) provokes a different reaction. I welcome an experiment that counts hair in people. The companion molecule deserves equal space in the account of that result. My enthusiasm has a very particular object: that preparation, tested in that study.

## The work I hope comes next

I favour experiments that separate the ingredients and then follow a clearly defined preparation through to a hair outcome. The [skin-layer penetration work](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3016279/) adds another question I care about: where does the applied material go?

I can be hopeful about those questions without pretending they have already been answered. A useful result would sharpen the choice of the next experiment, whether it strengthens a favourite hypothesis or forces a different explanation. That sort of progress would deserve the cabinet’s top shelf.

The [research shelf](/references) contains the studies discussed here. The [corrections page](/contact) states the current correspondence arrangements.

At Elite Hair Restoration I weigh the published research on hair peptides in an editorial cabinet with no treatment business behind it, and none of these pages provides medical advice.
